Review
Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked makes an interesting game to review. A DS port of the game Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor, this version adds voice 3DS action and an epilogue and an additional bit of art remastered. If the first game released in 2009, came to make the packaging for the original idea and creatively to a mash-up RPG subgenres were the really cool and interesting. Unfortunately we can not be said of Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked.

The gameplay remains unchanged from the original version, offers a unique blend of RPG genre. The struggles and forth between a grid-style cast, strategy role-playing game set-up (for Final Fantasy Tactics Advance) and first-person role-playing game (Dragon Quest), with the taking of a monster for good measure. The battles require the player to a great extent on the strategy to the choice of where he put his mark when they attack or heal spell, and when.
Like most games in this genre can take a while for each mission, to supplement what the player as much time as they need to develop a plan for your party alive. Some of these missions are a unique challenge, even for connoisseurs of the genre. The introduction of a wake, a device that has stopped the number of days a person to live shows, the fact the mystery and excitement, trying to make decisions to change the destination of your friends and save a premature death.
Devil Survivor is a strong emphasis on history, and throughout the primordial mystery adventure informs the actions and decisions of all the characters involved. After a group of children trapped in Tokyo, the hero and his friends gain the power to summon demons to fight with them. The decisions that really affect us as a main character as the story progresses, with six different endings depending on the different paths you choose.
Together, these elements provide a deeper and more satisfying experience, something I have come to expect from Atlus Persona team with talent. "However, the problem remains that the original DS game hit stores two years ago. As he still can play games on the DS 3DS (and overclocking does not use the unique capabilities of the 3DS ", except for a brief intro to the 3D), feels this connection unnecessary.
As an additional epilogue will appeal to those who are obsessed with the original game and want more where that came from, not be honest enough worth buying again - or, for that port is required. The new chapter takes the time to give more players in history, and I get in the development of a secondary character, but not long enough, and ultimately irrelevant. New dubbing does not help either. In fact it is downright cruel, only new loans to the impression that this game will not be repeated. Fortunately, you can disable the voice in the options menu, but as one of very few new items for overclocking, it's a shame that such a bad thing.
If you've never played a Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor, this version could be useful 3DS, collect, unless the original can be found cheaper (which should not be too difficult). The innovative combination of several sub-genres of RPG results in a total package fascinating and fun. However, since the original came out recently, is quite confusing why this version is improved. If you have played, there's really no reason to $ 40 to spend on a current version enough to play again.
